Botox Pricing

I charge £5/unit of botox. Standard dosage is 50 units. However, I discount at present for three areas.

 

Botox can cost on average as much as £300-£500 per treatment depending upon the areas injected and how much the doctor or clinic provider charges.

 

Areas include the crow’s feet, glabella (area between the brows that causes furrows), and forehead, and the doctor injects each area with the number of units that he or she thinks is necessary to locally paralyze the muscles at that particular spot.

 

I practice in Devon and Cornwall and Botox typically costs £5-8/unit. I perform my own injections because I have advance training in facial aesthetic surgery. However, we have several top-notch injectionists in our area, and I don't hesitate to recommend them if the situation best serves the patient.

I received Botox three months ago. Now I think I may have been cheated and paid £300 for three areas.  I my forehaed and between my eyes were still moving.  The lient was not sure of the dosage

 

What is the average amount of units needed for this?

 

Most patients are NOT SURE of what dosage of botox they were treted with.

 

The standard dosing is 50 units:

  • 20-25 units for glabellar region
  • 7.5 units for crow's feet
  • 15-20 units for forehed.
  • Total dosage should be 50 units
  • Men normally require more [that is why they are charged more]

Average number of Botox units I use to treat the glabellar frown lines (the so-called "11's") is 20-25 units units. For most patients, the effects begin to show within 48-72 hours. Some patients may get the same results with less Botox, other patients require slightly more.

I caution patients to wait at least 3-4 days before judging the outcome. If the level of paralysis or areas of paralysis are insufficient at that point, I will re-examine the patient to see whether a "touch-up" injection will be beneficial, but I usually wouldn't administer an additional dose of the Botox until one week after the first dose.

 

It is important that you are understand and become aware of what dosage you are getting.

 

BEWARE ! Some practitioners will give:

 

  • 15 units for glabellar region
  • 7.5 units for crow's feet
  • 15 units for forehed.
  • TOTAL: 35-40 units
